We have 32 pages to go and the final revision and editing will be finished on THE STONE KILLER. Have you ever rewritten and edited and edited and edited a novel until you almost hate it? Sister and I are almost to that state now. But it had to be done and all the hard work makes THE STONE KILLER a much better book. To all my friends and relatives who gave us honest and excellent feedback, a big THANK YOU. Thank God, our friends and relatives are our toughest critics. I’m submitting the revised edition to literary agents and hope to acquire a good one. Pray we succeed.
Back to work on THE HANGMAN, the second book of the Jonas Black series. Oh, what a learning experience this has been! When you thing you have written everything just the way you want it, go over it again and again. See what rephrasing you can do, what can be cut, how much repetitions is there. Editing is a tough process, but you learn so much about writing when you do it over and over. AND, you will be surprised at the mistakes you missed. I now, it surprised the hell out of me as Sister and I have been revising and re-editing THE STONE KILLER. From now on, we will do the same with the rest of the books in the series. THE HANGMAN is progressing. Working on the next murder to happen.
All our novels will be about justice for the innocent. I have my own beliefs on the correct punishment for people who harm a child or an animal. You will be able to read it in THE HANGMAN, THE SNATCHER, THE JUDGE, or THE JUDGEMENT (I’m not sure of this title for the fourth book).
THE GARDENER, THE RED WITCH, and some of the others in the series go off in a different direction. So at this point, I have to wait and see what happens.
Everyone have a great weekend and stay safe.
