For the last few days, I have been researching marketing my books. This is a new field for me, and I intend to learn as much about it as I possibly can. I’ve spent the last few days trying to upload my book, THE STONE KILLER, to Whizbuzz Books. I am still trying to get the information uploaded to their website. Part of it was my fault for not updating information through my bank and on PayPal. But, tonight I was all set to fill out the required spaces with my information, and I made the mistake of having to go back to figure out a bit of information, and now I have to wait until I can be contacted by this company to complete the upload. They are in Europe, I understand England, and I have to wait until tomorrow when they will be in the office. So far I haven’t been able to find a lot of information out about, and I do believe in investigating companies claim to do what they claim to do. They claim to do a lot for an author which makes me look feel a little dubious about them. I shall see how it all works out and let you know.
If, and it’s a big IF, I see good results for THE STONE KILLER, then I will promote THE HANGMAN and my other two novels with them. This company was recommended on one site giving information on how to promote and market your own novels. That is the only reason I am trying it. We shall see what happens. Wish me luck. By the way, I’m going to create a new book cover for A CIRCLE OF MURDERS. Watch for it.
I am still trying to find the right photograph to use in the book cover for ALL FOR THE LOVE OF HANNAH. Hannah is such an unusual story. It will take just the right book cover to set it apart from all the others I have done. In many ways, it’s one of my favorite stories, mainly because it deals with coming to terms with losing someone you love. I know I have that in all my novels because I lost so many family members in 2005. And some in 2006. 2012 was not much better, but not as many as 05. So I know what it’s like to lose someone you have loved so much. And for Hannah, who loses the love of her life, learning to cope and move on is a difficult thing. So this will take a very specific picture to create the perfect book cover. I may have found one and I would like your opinion. Post a comment, please.
The relatives have returned to Colorado. It was a great visit. The children were a delight to see. How fast they grow. The pups miss then and enjoyed playing with the kids. Too bad the weather didn’t cooperate while they were here. For the last three days, we’ve had warmer weather and lots of sunshine.
Tomorrow begins the new week. Everyone have a great time and stay safe. Remember: NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER SURRENDER.
