It is hard to believe July is winding down and August is just a little over a week away. The children will be returning to school. Even this early, there is a hint of a chill in the morning air. Even the sky has its faint suggestion that fall is on the way. In a couple of months or a little more, there will be slashes of gold among the deep green on the mountain side. Thank God for all the rain we’ve had. The Hayman Pass fire is now 45% contained and people are returning to their homes.
Well, mostly everything in Sister’s Colorado home has been sorted and packed, waiting to be shipped back to Ohio. A bit of paint on the walls, clean out the garage and it will be finished. Then up goes the for sale sign. Pray she gets a good price for the house. It is a bi-level with 4 nice size bedrooms and two baths. It is a large house with a large lot. When all is said and done, I will hate to see her leave, even if I know she must. I will miss her terribly. We are planning another garage sale this weekend. Hopefully, we won’t get rained out like we did a couple of weeks ago. I think Sister is planning on donating what doesn’t sell to One Nation, for the American Indians here in the Springs. I’m sure they will be glad to receive anything that will help them. Our Native Americans have been dished too many dirty deals.
I’ve been going through all the different novel ideas I have, and after I finish THE HANGMAN and get it upload, I have a 60,000 word novel which is an almost finished, a romantic suspense book I will complete and upload as well. That will be two novels completed this year which has been my goal all along. I hope everyone’s writing is going well. Remember, NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER SURRENDER. Stay the course and you will succeed.
Remember to give our other novels a read, especially THE STONE KILLER, so you will be ready for the second book in the Jonas Black series.
Everyone have a great weekend and stay safe.
