This week has flown by and now that the weekend is here, I have to get some house cleaning done, not to even mention the pile of laundry waiting for me.  Since the weather has been so hot, I don’t mind using the washing machine, but hate to turn on the dryer. My washer and dryer are in the kitchen, which is great except in hot weather, and yes the dryer is vented outside, but it still puts off heat.

By Sunday, our chances of afternoon rain increases.  That will help cool the hot weather.  So far today, it hasn’t been too bad, but I keep the fans running continuously, which helps.  All my fur babies are curled up asleep.  I am happy to report my beloved Pyewacket, my black cat,  has lost enough weight that he can now reach his back legs without his belly being in the way.

Also, it is hard to believe that August is closing fast on July.  Fall and winter are chomping through the days eager for their turn in the year.  2016 is close to being born and 2015 will hobble out on his cane never to be seen again.

NEW HANGMAN SINGLEI hope this year has been prosperous for everyone.  I know I have accomplished a lot of writing and learning about the craft.  But writing, like painting, is a continual learning process, which is great.  If and when we ever reach the point we think we know everything about writing, then we’re only fooling ourselves.  So keep growing in the craft.  I intend to by working to perfect THE HANGMAN and the other books in the series.

Everyone have a great weekend.  Stay safe as life is short.

P1010737Well folks, here in Colorado Springs, we’ve lucked out on the snow so far.  We’ve had a lot of above average warm weather so far this winter.  But , starting tomorrow, I think it’s our turn for a lot of snow.  We’re supposed to get between 8 to 16 inches on Sat, Sun and possibly Monday.  I’m scheduled for x-rays on Monday, I hope I’m able to make it.  It is way on the north side of town and I live on the south side.  Still, we can’t complain as “we need the moisture”.  It’s been really dry here, so much so that a stray bullet, on the firing range at Ft Carson, started a small grass fire a week or so ago.  It was quickly contained, which we’re all thankful for.  We don’t need a repeat of 2012 or 2013, please Lord.

NEW SNGLE STONE KILLER CVRSINGLE COVER, A C OF MSister and I just finished another edit on THE STONE KILLER, which I will be uploading to Smashwords along with A CIRCLE OF MURDERS.  We will no longer be utilizing Amazon’s KDP, but will format and upload to Amazon, Smashwords and Lightning Source within a week of each other.  That way our books will be available on all e-readers, and book stores can order hard copies for their store.  It is an ambitious endeavor, but I’ll give it a try and see how it goes. We’ll keep you posted.

2nd THE HANGMAN BK CVRTHE HANGMAN is coming along.  I continue to come across questions about procedures and legal issues that have to be answered, but that is to be expected.  I’ll keep plugging along as always.  The only way to succeed is persistence even though I’m lousy at marketing.  I spend so much time trying to market our books that it is taking away from my writing time.

So, everyone have a great weekend and stay safe.   I hope the snow doesn’t get too deep or it will be over Titan’s back.  He’s not too tall.
