EXHAUSTED, 8 PAGES, ALMOST 3000 WORDS, MURDER AND MAYHEM, SERIAL KILLER

S K CVR 6Well the snow is melting, the weather is getting warmer and my brain has decided it will function once again.   Late last night, my characters in THE STONE KILLER began to invade my mind and urged me to go to my computer because they had something to say.  I did go to my computer and reviewed the last chapter I had written.  From the time I finished reading that chapter until almost 1:00 a.m. the word flowed from my fingers as John T Huntington and Morgan Jansen told me what was happening in their lives in the story.  By the time I got to bed, my brain was so tired I couldn’t write another word.  I slept so soundly.  It was great.

Thanks to my cats, the little one in particular, I woke up  at 7:00.  I fought then off until 7:20 when I at last rolled out of bed and made my way to the kitchen.  Of course they wanted their breakfast like NOW.  I fed them, punch the button on the coffee pot and headed for the bathroom to put eye drops in my eyes and wash the sleep from my face.  Two cups of coffee later, I am back at my computer, still in my PJs and typing away.  You can imagine how thrilled I am that my characters are talking again.  I wrote 8 pages today, almost 3000 words.  I was ecstatic.  I hope for more of the same tomorrow.

I imagine you all are sitting out there thinking I’m nuts.  Well, I may be, but as a writer, if this is nuts, I’m glad.   My book is playing out like a movie in my mind.  When my characters are talking, I can see them in my head, hear what they’re saying and see their actions.  All I do is type it into my computer.  I am so lucky that this is working for me, because THE STONE KILLER is a hell of a story.  I’ve got a serial killer, a ghost, a damaged cop, a beautiful woman with a past, and they all come together to fight it out in my novel.  Terrific.

Watch for THE STONE KILLER coming soon.

Until then, everyone take care of yourselves and be safe.

Remember:  never give up, never surrender.

CREATING KATHRYN CROWN finally has been corrected for the last time (I hope) and uploaded to CreateSpace for the print on demand version of the book.  Now I have to finish A CIRCLE OF MURDERS for uploading to Smashword.  Then on to the next book, THE STONE KILLER.

If you like ghost stories, murder and mayhem, you’ll love THE STONE KILLER.    Here is the blurb I have written for it:

You don’t know what you’ve got until you lose it, as Morgan Jansen finds out too late.

The bond between identical twins sometimes transcends death. So when Homicide Detective Sergeant John T. Huntington appears on Morgan’s doorstep, with his partner Esperanza Ortiz, she already knows her twin sister, Marilyn Heddrix, is in trouble and seriously injured. But, she is not prepared to hear that her sister has been violently murdered.

But Marilyn wants justice and refuses to stay dead.  She returns, as a ghost, to offer snippets of information about another victim, but nothing about her killer.

How can Morgan pass on the information to the detective without having to explain that it came from her dead sister’s ghost, especially to a man she finds so sexually attractive.

Detective Huntington and Morgan begin a journey into the world of paranormal to hunt for a serial killer bent on executing his own form of justice, while each comes to term with the demons from their past.

First day of blogging

Creating a blog is an amazing process.  All the new things to learn is stimulating and exciting at the same time.  So here goes.

I have been reviewing A CIRCLE OF MURDERS for uploading to Createspace for print on demand.  Would you believe that no matter how many times I have gone over that manuscript, I found mistakes.  First an entire chapter, which I cut and pasted to the 5.25 X 8 template, decided that all the capital letters would become lower case.  That was so much fun.  I have spent the last three days checking line by line for any other odd results from my cutting and pasting each chapter.  Of course, there were more error.  Thank God I am down to the last hundred pages.

I have also, as many people have suggested, listed A CIRCLE OF MURDERS on numerous websites for readers.  I keep waiting for more reviews from people who have assured me they would write a review.  I hope they do so soon.

Once this novel is uploaded, I need to concentrate on formatting and uploading CREATING KATHRYN CROWN.  My character Kathryn is demanding her time in the spotlight.  She must resolve the issue of her true identity and prove she would never kill anyone and prove her love for Justin Crown, and then everything will be roses.

And then it is on to completing THE STONE KILLER!  If I don’t complete that novel soon, my friend Tony is going to hate me.  He has been waiting to read the finished manuscript, and I have only killed off five people so far.  What is really strange is that one of my victims, Marilyn Heddrix, has decided not to stay dead.  She has come back to haunt her identical twin sister, Morgan.   And the killer is still out there lurking in the shadows stalking his next victim.

Well enough for now, I will write more tomorrow.   Good night.
